In life now, I strive to create that sweet spot between teaching, research and community.  My main affiliation- Universiti Teknologi Malaysia poises and pushes  me toward discovering myself and creating a self-trajectory.  It is timely that I learn to breath within research, teaching, and community building. This has somewhat turn into a call, a passion, a seed for me to one day, fly back to my

ANGEL

We still have only a very limited understanding of Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership (ANGEL).  Answering questions about this is essential especially how we could include marginal groups of communities; the have-nots among our societies to disentangle themselves from poverty, segregation and deep socio economic trenches.  This brings me to coordinate another Erasmus+ Capacity Building in 2021, entitled ASEAN Network for Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership with 15 consortium partners from EU and ASEAN. It is time for us to radiate others !

Displaced Communities and Diasporas

In late 2018, I made a trip with my PhD student, Shaza Al-Darainy to Jordan. My colleague, Dr. Aiza followed too. I was supporting Shaza's fieldwork activities to understand philanthropic attitudes and entrepreneurship in conflict and post-conflict places. We specifically went to formal and informal camps of Syrians. For the first time in my life that I learn to observe life and living in the camps. It is a struggle and survival.   This specific trip opens my heart to dream for more endeavors, to search for more connections to unearth the many communities out there who struggle as outliers along our spectrum of worldly  daily lives.  The lines between the haves and the have-nots are becoming thicker than before. Solutions for co-existence, inclusions merit researches, agents of change and social architects!
